Aurora Acosta & Misael Beltran Torrecillas have been on the run for over a decade. The couple is accused in the murder of a man who worked in a Shafter, California almond plant. They remain two of Shafter, California and Kern County, California's Most wanted fugitives.
On October 26th, 2006, officers found the body of Jesus Edmidio Gaona, 53, around 4 a.m. inside Farmers Cooperative Almond Huller Inc. on East Los Angeles Avenue in Shafter. He was an employee at the hulling plant and suffered multiple stab wounds.
Following an investigation, Acosta & Torrecillas were named as the prime suspects.
I currently could not find any information about an alleged motive but an posting by Kern's Most Wanted on Facebook state that the couple was still at large as of April 2016 and that Gaona's family is still looking for justice.
Fugitive Profile statistics for the couple are mentioned in the photos for Shafter's Most Wanted (which I posted above) and on the Kern's Most Wanted Facebook posting (which will be one of my links). Just in case the above photo prints are too small to read for some, the Facebook posting states that anyone with information on Acosta and/or Torrecillas' whereabouts should call Detectives Joshua Stephens or Chris Grider at 661-746-6341.
Thoughts?
