The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information regarding the death of Marcus Edwards.
Details:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Baltimore Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the homicide of Marcus Edwards in Baltimore, Maryland.
On September 19, 2016, Edwards, a student at Morgan State University, was walking off-campus, about a mile from the school, when he was stabbed and died from his injuries. The attack occurred in a residential area at Loch Raven Boulevard and Woodbourne Avenue in Baltimore. Edwards was a 21-year-old man from Washington, D.C. who aspired to become a police officer. He was a graduate of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department Junior Police Academy and the FBI Washington Field Office Future Agents in Training Program.

Thoughts? I should also mention the FBI information flyer also provides a link to tips.fbi.gov where users can submit an anonymous web tip on the case. The motive for Marcus's murder seems unclear to me still, my hunch is it was a robbery gone awry. But it's only a hunch. In any case, hopefully the FBI publicity and reward helps solve the case. So many kids around Marcus's age are troublemakers. Here we have someone who seemed to be a great kid, always did the right thing, wanted to be a cop and help people, only to get senselessly murdered. I know it's cliche to say life isn't fair sometimes, but I really feel it applies in this case.
