In 2001, Rodolfo Ruiz-Godinez and two men from Phoenix, Arizona were in a Santa Fe County, New Mexico jail awaiting trial on drug charges. They came up with a way to escape by bribing one of the guards for $3,000 dollars. The guard, Lawrence Candelaria smuggled tools that the three inmates used to break out of the jail. Lawrence was fired from his hob and was arrested for aiding in the escape. Rodolfo Ruiz-Godinez is still at large to this date.
Based on investigative agencies, it is advised to contact the US Marshals in New Mexico at (505)346-6400 if you have any information on Rodolfo Ruiz-Godinez's whereabouts.

Thoughts? This escape attempt is pretty embarrassing if you ask me and hopefully guards were better screened to weed out potential corruption. I didn't see any follow-up news reports if the other two inmates were ever found, however I'm guessing that they were since Rodolfo Ruiz-Godinez is the only one on the US Marshals website right now.
