From valleynewslive.com:
"BEMIDJI, Minn. (Valley News Live) There’s a growing concern around Bemidji that a missing person case, could be much more serious than a runaway teen.
Seventeen year old Jeremy Jourdain has been missing since Monday. He’s described as 6-feet 4-inches tall, 165-pounds and was last seen wearing a Gray Nike sweater with blue arms, blue jeans and black and white Nike shoes.
A couple dozen family and friends continued the search for Jeremy Jourdain today. Yesterday they were joined by a couple of dozen law enforcement officers, who also used a helicopter and blood hounds.
Reporter: “Was it like him to take off and not tell anyone?”
Alexandra Tanner, Missing Teen’s Aunt: “No, it’s not. He’s, very much a homebody. He likes to come up here once in awhile and visit with his sisters.”
Police say Jeremy Jourdain was at a Halloween party, here on the south end of Bemidji in a nearby apartment complex, when at midnight he got up and said he didn’t want to be there anymore and took off. The last time he was seen was here on the 500 block of Wood Avenue. It’s thought he may have started the 14-mile walk over to Cass Lake, where he lives with relatives.
Alexandra Tanner, Missing Teen’s Aunt: “That’s what we’re hoping. We hoping we can find some sign of him, because of right now we have nothing.
Reporter: “Are you worried someone had it out for him?”
Alexandra Tanner, Missing Teen’s Aunt: “No, he’s a very likeable kid. He’s calm. He doesn’t get in confrontations or anything.”
Mike Mastin, Bemidji Police Chief: “Today, were focusing more on the investigative part of it. We’re talking to all the people who were at this gathering to find out what they know. If they have more information or if they have gained more information from yesterday, after they found out Jeremy was missing.”
And while police work the investigative angle of this case today, family and friends continue to search for a young man who has simply vanished.
Alexandra Tanner, Missing Teen’s Aunt: “He’s had no activity on his social media accounts or on his gaming accounts. He’s a big game player too. Maybe he was walking on his way home and got cold. Maybe he’s out by one of those farms out this way or something.”
And since the deer hunting season gets underway Saturday, authorities are also asking hunters to stay vigilant and check vacant out building they may come across, as a family is left with a nightmare that started on Halloween."
