Detectives say they have very little to go on after witnesses heard the gunshots that killed Terry northcutt and his friend Voravangso Phanmana Investigators believe the two were working on Northcutt’s motorcycle when they were killed at Phanmana’s home near 38th and Portland Ave. Northcutt’s sister, Karen Sullivan, believes the men were in the wrong place, at the wrong time. She says her brother, who lived in Kirkland, loved to make people laugh, loved his family and sports. “My brother had a motor bike and they were up late working on the motor bike in his friend’s garage and that’s when someone drove up and the details aren’t clear because there weren’t any eyewitnesses but they were both shot and killed.” Tacoma police have found no witnesses to the shooting and no motive.
