HEFLIN, Alabama -- Heflin Police are still searching for a 16-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week.
Marta Ramirez Mendez, 16, has not been seen since Sept. 30, according to a post on the police department's Facebook page.
She is described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds. Police do not know what she was wearing when she went missing.
According to police, the girl's family says she spoke of returning to her home country of Guatemala. She could be in the Atlanta area or in Texas.
Anyone with information is asked to call the department at (256) 463-2291.

Thoughts? Keep in mind Marta is now 19 and a legal adult, but it's still important her family knows she's safe.
