From The Charley Project:
Andrea was last seen in New Haven, Connecticut on October 5, 1999. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Rosa Tenorio. A photograph and vital statistics for Tenorio are posted below this case summary. A felony warrant for custodial interference was issued for her on December 7, 1999.
Tenorio and Andrea may have left the state of Connecticut. Tenorio is a Mexican national. She and Andrea may be in Pueblo, Mexico. Tenorio is very experienced at crossing the United States/Mexico border illegally. If she is still in the United States, she is there illegally, as her immigration card has expired. There have been possible sightings of Andrea in New Jersey and in Hartford, Connecticut, but these have not been confirmed. Her case remains unsolved.
Thoughts? I am placing this case in the Missing on TV section since the Charley Project lists America's Most Wanted as a source reference. Meaning that Andrea and Rosa were featured on either the show or its' website. The NCMEC link says a felony warrant wasn't issued for Rosa Tenorio until 2009, so seeing as I don't see this case in any recent online episode guides I'm assuming it was a web-exclusive case, but please correct me if I'm wrong. It should also be noted Andrea is now 19 and a legal adult and cannot be forced to go back home if she doesn't want to. However, it doesn't change the fact that Rosa is still wanted and can still be arrested. And it is very important to make sure Andrea is safe.
