Wondering if anyone is left for AMW.COM to reflect Chuy's capture even though the tv show is currently defunct. Even though it in all likelihood is indirect, he was one of their most notorious fugitives their last few years and deserves an indirect capture report. Sadly, not sure if there's anyone left on staff to do that, but at least we can hope.

AMW.COM looks completely kaput now. The front page is all weird, and the links go to FOX.COM maintenance pages. Perhaps it malfunctioned on its' own, but even so, no one seems to be left on staff to fix it. Some links work, but really a large majority don't.
It may not necessarily matter since John Walsh is going to have a new show, but it was a good reference point and I assume people still looked at it and the fugitives listed.
Curious to see what happens with John Walsh's new show, if it will have its own website, and what will happen to AMW.COM

I believe FOX deleted the AMW site completely off their servers and only left the index page, what a shame. It was a great site and I sure hope someone connected to the site had done a full backup and plans on hosting elsewhere for archival purposes.

I was complaining here and another group about this and unfortunately I've since learned a few things (can't really say much more), that says your assessment is likely correct.

AMW.COM is officially gone now it seems. The Hunt is coming, but still sad to see a great resource go.

And now the worst news ever- it appears even the archive on archive.org is now gone. It said AMW.com is no longer available in the wayback machine because of robots.txt usually this means a website made it so they could no longer be "crawled" (looked back at) in archive.org. My guess is Fox put a stop to it. There is some good news I have a list of fugitives I was able to confirm were still active cases before this happened- so if I can find a news article at least- not all is lost- and at least we posted a lot of AMW's old cases already. But I would be lying if I said this didn't suck. Once again we will do our best to pick up the slack!

Alright, I'm making a list of fugitives I were able to confirm were still active cases before archive.org stopped crawling AMW.COM. Some I can find articles for, some I can't. I won't overload all at once but little by little I'll ask in the cases that need more info thread if I need to profile them.

I actually have a similar list of fugitives on my computer but will need new media reports for pictures of a few of them. But yeah, this does really suck.

I feel especially guilty that even though our main focus is fugitives, I didn't a good enough job of saving and/or confirming the missing and unknown murder cases. The good news is those cases are a lot more well covered on the internet than fugitive cases. We are the ones who pick up the slack on fugitives.

Good to know. Also, Pakman ' s goes into more detail but I do also have an episode guide from 1999-2011 compiled of all cases unsolved or probably unsolved. Stinks for the web-exclusives and perhaps some Lifetime season cases (tv.com only did episode guides for the Fox seasons), but it's better than nothing. Not going to lie and say this doesn't suck but at least a decent amount of cases will be saved. I feel like Morgan Freeman at the end of Deep Impact. The asteroid may have destroyed amw.com and their archive and we'll never get everything 100 percent restored but we will rebuild.

Yeah, I was in the process of getting as complete of an episode guide as I possibly could (I'm more or less done) before this happened, so I have a ton of possible cases that could be profiled, if needed.

Fears of AMW'S demise from the archive may have been exaggerated! It's back! While I would still be careful and cautiously optimistic as they could always take it down again in the future, this is some good news.
