Last Thursday night, someone fired 30 shots in a Chicago park, critically wounding a five-year old boy named Jaden Donald. Doctors at a local hospital had to remove Jaden's pancreas, spleen and one of his kidneys. Earlier that evening, a seven-year old boy was shot in the neck in another park. It was believed that the shooter was aiming at someone in another car. Since this past Wednesday, 30 people have been wounded in shootings in Chicago and another eight have been killed.
