From the FBI's website:
Details:
The Charlotte Division of the FBI and the Hillsborough Police Department are seeking information from the public to help identify the person or persons responsible for an arson and graffiti committed at the Orange County Republican Party headquarters that occurred on Sunday, October 16, 2016. The headquarters located at 347 Ja-Max Drive sustained heavy damage inside when a Molotov cocktail type device was thrown through the front window of the building. No one was inside at the time and the fire burned itself out before spreading to any other buildings. Federal, state, and local investigators believe the crime occurred sometime between midnight and 8:54 a.m. Oct. 16, when a 911 call was made by a nearby business owner. Graffiti was also spray painted on an adjacent building.
The Hillsborough Police Department, FBI, SBI, Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Secret Service are working jointly on the investigation. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Hillsborough Police Department's tip line at (919) 732-3975 or FBI Charlotte at (704) 672-6100, option #2 to report suspicious activity or a federal crime.

Thoughts? Obviously no matter your political views the actions of the person or persons that firebombed the Orange County GOP office can in no way be condoned. They need to be caught. With that being said all angles need to be looked at here. Writing "Die GOP scum" on the premises as news reports say happened seems almost too obvious and planned. It could in my be anybody of any ideological view for any number of reasons. It could be an anti-Trump person who did it. It could be an anti-Hillary person wanting to make liberals look bad. Who knows. This is is sort of a political case as well and it's a tightrope for me to walk on as I feel my role as the admin of this site is to be professional and stay neutral when it comes to politics. But since it's almost impossible in this case and no one accuses me of bias, I currently do not support or endorse either major party candidate for this election. I just wanted to get that out of the way before I get any "you only think that because..."
