From Crime Watch Daily's website:
Days after she was reported missing by her family, police found Voight's car abandoned in a gravel lot near her home and search her apartment. She didn't just walk away, they say -- she's a victim.
"I certainly can't tell you what was found, or the facts that led us to believe we needed to search the apartment," said Littleton Police Commander Trent Cooper. "It was just the facts and circumstances in this case are unique enough where we feel concerned and it's just part of the investigation."
Documents just obtained by Crime Watch Daily show an ugly and volatile history between Voight and her longtime boyfriend, entrepreneur Jeffrey Beier.
In a 2012 Voight filed for a restraining order against Beier, stating in court papers: "I'm scared for my life."
Voight describes an incident where "Jeff grabbed, slapped, choked and dragged me around the house for over 20 minutes ... I thought I was going to die."
And in a document filed after Voight's disappearance. Her father asks the court for protection from Beier, stating: "We are afraid for our lives. We believe he may want to do us harm."
Recently Beier was questioned in connection with the sexual assault of another woman -- and that woman reportedly was the last person to see Charlene Voight alive.
But police say at this point there are no official persons of interest or suspects in the disappearance of Charlene Voight.
