Chris Reyka was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Walgreen's in Pompano Beach, Florida while investigating a suspicious car. The 51-year-old was an 18-year veteran of the force who left behind a wife and four kids. The case was aired on AMW multiple times and now a suspect has been named in a press conference today- a man who is himself dead. Broward Sheriff Scott Israel named Shawn Sherwin Labeet, who was killed on Sept. 13 2007 in a shoout with cops, as the focus of the probe into Reyka's death. Authorities said he became the focus about a year-and-a-half ago. The public is being asked to call in a special tip line with any information regarding Labeet, associates or firearms he may be connected with, and any vehicles fitting the description of the suspects'. Labeet is probably responsible for this murder. He'll never get to face the charges in a court of law but he can't harm anyone else anymore.

Although they're entirely different murders, this is similar to the Adam Walsh case in that authorities pretty much know who did it and that the killer is deceased, but they just need that final piece to the puzzle to officially close the case.
