From Oceanside Patch:
OCEANSIDE, CA — The family of man killed on an Oceanside street nearly a year ago has put $2,000 toward a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for his death, San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the Oceanside Police Department announced Thursday.
In addition to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers, the family's contribution brings the reward to $3,000 for leads in the unsolved homicide of 32-year-old Joseph Adam Prince, a father who left behind two young children when he was killed Nov. 19, 2015.
At about 3:40 p.m. that day, Prince was riding his bicycle westbound in the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue and had stopped to talk to a friend when an unknown man came up and stabbed Prince once in his upper chest, according to Oceanside police. Prince died at the scene, just minutes after he was stabbed.
The suspect in the stabbing was described as a 30- to 40-year-old white or Latino man between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall who weighed about 200 pounds and had a stocky build and short brown hair. The suspect was wearing a red baseball cap, a short sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans, and fled the scene on a black beach cruiser bicycle.
Anyone with information on the identity and/or location of the person responsible for Prince's death is asked to call the Oceanside Police Department’s Crimes of Violence Unit at 760-435-4428 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via Sdcrimestoppers.org.
