Leonides Torres was only featured once on AMW as the Arizona fugitive for the 2000 50/50 special. With that in mind, I can assume he was only featured for around 8-15 seconds. Since he's been wanted after 1998, he qualifies for the 2013 Member Most Wanted Lists.

Tucson authorities say that on the evening of Nov 28, 1999, Torres got into a fight with a patron at a crowded bar. A security guard kicked him out of the bar as a result. At 10:30 PM, Torres returned with a shotgun and opened fire at the bar, killing 64-year old Robert Ramos and 58-year old Ruth Todd, three other people were wounded. Patrons at the bar identified Torres as the shooter but authorities reported that there were at least two other shooters with Torres.

Authorities believe he is travelling back and forth between Tucson, Arizona and Mexico. I would have to agree with that. Any other thoughts or comments?

Not much to add here except to say it's a bit surprising to see the lack of attention for a guy wanted for double murder. I know I say this a lot, and AMW can't profile every fugitive 7 zillion times, but if only they would have substituted some impossible to solve or really old cold cases for some of these guys. Or even stopped airing guys guys such as Loren Trites so many times when despite them being scumbags there were more dangerous fugitives out there that could have taken their place in some airings.

Wanted to mention that I found a 2006 article that mentioned Torres had family in Tucson, Arizona and Texas.

As of today, October 8, 2020, Leonides Torres is still listed on Crime 88 as a wanted fugitive.

I did learn that a federal Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution was issued for Leonides on April 19, 2000. This was found in PACER until his full name of Leonides Bohorquez Torres.

Only problem is that on March 20, 2014 the UFAP warrant was dismissed without prejudice. We have seen this happen with some other cold case UFAP fugitives who are still wanted at the local level. The problem is that federal authorities are probably not really involved in this manhunt right now.
