From the Charley Project:
Diane married Bennie Milton Webb in California in 1959; she was seventeen years old at the time and he was sixteen. The couple first lived in California, then in Phoenix, Arizona.
In January 1961, Bennie wrote to Diane's mother in a response to a letter she'd sent him. Bennie said he hadn't seen or heard from his wife in a long time. The last time he'd seen her was when he gave her $100 and put her on a bus to visit her parents at their home in Kingman, Arizona. He said she wrote him once after that to say she had been pregnant but had miscarried. He never heard from her again after that. Bennie suggested Diane's parents try to contact a female friend of hers in California; he thought her friend might have information as to her whereabouts.
In August 1961, eight months after Bennie's letter, Diane or someone using her name visited a dentist's office in California. This is the last sign of her. Diane's family continues to search for her. Her case remains unsolved.
