-- Authorities in Will County, Illinois say that on January 13, 2016, Tariq Pinnick shot and killed 22-year old Dylan Somma. Dylan was in Tariq's neighbourhood to purchase drugs and he and Tariq got into some type of altercation. Dylan was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Tariq was just 19 at the time of this murder and was actually in University. Dylan had been released after serving a sentence for aggravated battery and residential burglary. If you have information on the whereabouts of Tariq Pinnick, then contact the Will County Sheriff’s Police dispatch at (815)727-8575.

This case generated a lot of discussion on the local Topix message board which is meant for local residents to discuss current events. Dylan Somma was not a law-abiding person based on his felony convictions and it sounds like he didn't have an intention to change based on what he was doing that night. Someone was also claiming that Tariq shot Dylan in self-defense which Tariq has the right to defend himself with that explanation in a court of law. However murder is still murder and running as a fugitive does not exactly indicate that you were in fact acting in self-defense, as well as investigators have not come to that conclusion. www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/crime/ct-sta-lockport-shooting-warrant-st-0117-20160115-story.htmlcrimestoppersofwillcounty.org/wanted-tariq-pinnick/

As the official admin and creator of this forum- I want to make an official statement that this forum recognizes that Pinnick, like all fugitives, despite running, is by legal definition innocent until proven guilty. I do not assume his guilt, only that he needs to be caught because he is wanted by law enforcement.
With that being said, running rather than turning yourself in does not make you look good. So my advice to Pinnick would be to turn himself in and try his best for him and his family to hire a good lawyer.
Also, Dylan was obviously no saint and had a criminal history according to that Topix board. Those who knew him would probably be the first to admit he wasn't a saint. It still does not justify his murder if he was in fact murdered. He was still someone's son, family member, friend, etc...
If Pinnick is guilty, he needs to be punished. If he's innocent, he needs to turn himself in to clear everything up.
