Details: Adrian Ciornei was set to appear before a Clackamas County Circuit Court judge on charges of child sex-abuse. He was first arrested in October 2007 on these criminal charges. Ciornei posted bail amounts in both Washington County and Clackamas County totaling $150,000.
Ciornei, who emigrated legally to the United States from Romania, was earning a substantial living in the U.S. as an adult foster-care provider.
Sheriff's Office Detectives learned that Ciornei, pending trial, had departed from his residence on Monday, March 17, 2008; he has not been seen or heard from since.
Ciornei has reportedly made statements indicating he was going to flee the United States and return to his native Romania. Ciornei previously surrendered his passport to authorities; however, he may be planning to fraudulently obtain an additional passport -- under a false name -- to facilitate his departure from the U.S.

Thoughts? Viewers of AMW might remember Adrian Ciornei since even though he was never on amw.com, he was on the G8 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List in 2010 that had AMW fugitives Frederick McLean and Christopher Deininger on it. Even without his legal passport, Adrian could have managed to fled back to Romania using a fraudulent one purchased on the black market. The good news is that Romania has extradited people to the US before, so hopefully they don't want this wanted child molester running possibly free in their country as much as we don't want him doing so either.
