Authorities in Houston, Texas say that in 1993, 17-year Juan Guevara and a fellow 17-year old, ambushed 17-year old Ruben Ruiz at gunpoint while Ruben was driving. Ruben tried to flee in his truck but was shot to death by his robbers. In 1993, Juan was also suspected in the following additional crimes; a murder in 1990, two rapes in 1991, the wounding of a 65-year-old man and his grandson during a restaurant robbery in 1992, and another robbery and carjacking the night of Ruiz's killing. Juan was believed to have fled to Mexico after Ruben's murder.
Edit (Oct 2, 2021): Confirmed that Juan's accomplice, Genaro Cruz is also wanted on a Capital Murder warrant.

Thoughts? Juan Jose Guevara appears to be an extremely underrated fugitive whose case folder is probably collecting dust on a shelf with no new updates. Why else would a fugitive suspected in so many violent crimes as a teenager have no online publicity aside from a photo listing. Juan's alleged accomplice was Genaro "Tiqus" Cruz but I cannot find any information about him online. I really doubt as well that Juan stopped committing violent crimes upon fleeing to Mexico, so he could even be in a Mexican prison under an alias, or spent prison time in that nation. One thing is for certain, and that is that he needs to finally be apprehended and face a court of law for all that he's been charged with.
