(Above photo credit: Nevada Department of Connections) In 1970, Raphael Basurto and an acquaintance, Eric Robichaud were both at a party. Raphael coerced and compelled Eric to perform "homosexual acts" upon other people at the party. Eric was beaten and threatened with murder during the ordeal. Nevada investigators charged him with "infamous crimes against nature". Raphaeal was sentenced to two life imprisonment terms but escaped from a maximum security prison in Carson City in 1975. Raphael would now be approximately 65-years old. According to Nevada Department Of Corrections, anyone with information on the whereabouts of Raphael Basurto or any of their escapees should call them at 775-887-3284Also any news-related updates on this case can be forwarded to us at amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --- Thoughts? A somewhat unusual case but it is completely illegal to force someone to commit sexual acts they do not want to perform, along with beating and threatening the victim with murder. As for where Basurto would be today, I checked and the last name has ancestry ties to Spain, Italy and Portugal, so maybe he fled to Western Europe. doc.nv.gov/Inmates/Escapes/Home/law.justia.com/cases/nevada/supreme-court/1970/6118-1.htmllasvegassun.com/news/1999/aug/26/jailbreak-puts-blackburn-in-some-notorious-company/

Nothing to add here but this is an unusual case, then again the 70's were supposedly a wild time, so perhaps not that usual.

As of May 11th, 2018, Basurto is still listed as one of the Nevada DOC's most wanted escapees. (Same link as in HeadMarshal's OP)
