(Above photo credit: Interpol) Present family name: ARVIZU Forename: JOSEPH EDWARDO Sex: Male Date of birth: 21/12/1955 (60 years old) Place of birth: CALIFORNIA, United states Language spoken: English, Spanish Nationality: United states PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Height: 1.83 meter Weight: 91 Kg Colour of hair: Black Colour of eyes: Brown --- Authorities in Muskogee, Oklahoma along with Interpol are searching Joseph Arvizu in connection with the murder of Jewell Leon Collins. In 1991, Joseph Arvizu was the leader of a cocaine-trafficking organization based out of California and the group mistakenly believed that Jewell stole two million dollars worth of their product. Claud Rogers, Jewell's boss, took Jewell on a test drive of a car where a hit man, only described as "Poncho" shot and killed Jewell. Most of the offenders in this case were identified and convicted, but Joseph Arvizu has never been caught. --- Thoughts? Joseph Arvizu was issued a red notice by Interpol in 2010 which is how I know about his case. I don't know if Poncho the hitman was ever identified but I didn't come across any news stories mentioning his arrest. All I know is that according to brief Newslibrary articles, Joseph Arvizu fled to Mexico after the arrests went down where he probably is still hiding out today. Jewell Collins was a completely innocent victim as a result of the drug trade, so his family deserves Final Justice by seeing Joseph Arvizu convicted in a court of law. If you have information regarding the whereabouts of Joseph Arvizu, you can contact Interpol by their website. www.interpol.int/Forms/Wanted_persons/(subject)/Wanted-ARVIZU%20JOSEPH%20EDWARDO/(notice_id)

Interpol isn't always the most accurate but if Arvizu is on there he is likely still wanted.
With the money he made likely from the drug trafficking, it's no surprise if he's managed to stay on the run for 25 years.

Just wanted to update that CBS News did a feature story regarding 34 US fugitives wanted by Interpol. When they got to referencing Joseph Arvizu, they also said that he's wanted for ordering the 1992 murders of four drug informants in Los Angeles. www.cbsnews.com/pictures/interpols-most-wanted-americans/23/

As of May 7th, 2018, Arvizu is still on the Interpol website as a wanted fugitive. (Same link as in HeadMarshal's OP)

Two things to add to this thread. The first is that there is a, very lengthy case in PACER issued in July of 1992 that hasn't been updated since 2003. It's listed under "Joseph Edwardo Arvizu" in California's Central District court. It's also not closed because there's no date listed under the "date closed" section. This makes me believe that as of September 3, 2020, Joseph has not been brought to trial on these federal charges and he is still at large. The other point is that I found a 1992 news article that specifically referenced the four murders he's accused of ordering in Oklahoma and California. www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1992-08-05-mn-5063-story.html
