(Above photo credit: Kansas City, MO government website- Police Department section) Two black male suspects walked into the 7-Eleven at 319 E. 63rd St. sometime between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, and opened fire on the clerk Caroline Neal. Neal, 58, died at the scene. Neal was a wife, mother and grandmother who took the part-time job that July to earn a little extra money. She lived in the Brookside area near the store. Police believe that a store manager at that 7-Eleven had previously kicked the same men out of the store for shoplifting. The men were in the store less than 20 seconds. The gunmen did not rob the store. Anyone with information that can help solve this case is asked to call the Kansas City Cold Case Squad at 816-234-5136.

At least we have surveillance image of Caroline's killers, unfortunately they were both masked which makes them more difficult to identify. What's even more outrageous is that the killers weren't robbing the store when they murdered Caroline, they were taking revenge on the store for being kicked out earlier. kcmo.gov/police/homicide-3/

Whoever these two men were needed to get a life, not take one. How dare someone kick them out for shop lifting! *sigh*
Hopefully someone can still identify who these men were.
