From the Providence Journal website (providencejournal.com):
PROVIDENCE — The search continued Saturday for a man suspected in a triple homicide in Puerto Rico, but authorities were unsure whether he was still in Rhode Island.
"We exhausted everything we had last night," said state police Maj. Joseph F. Philbin.
Philbin said the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, U.S. marshals and detectives continued to work the case.
Law enforcement officers descended on downtown Providence Friday afternoon after Pedro Torres, 36, was spotted around 1:15 p.m. near the Providence Marriott Downtown hotel and the state Department of Health, on Orms Street, according to a news release from the Rhode Island State Police.
Authorities searched, weapons drawn, near the Providence train station, on Gaspee Street, on Smith and Canal streets, as well as on Orms and State streets.
Torres is also wanted on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant for failing to appear on a charge of being a fugitive in possession of a firearm.
That charge relates to Torres' arrest last July as a fugitive from justice on the same homicide charges. The police captured Torres after learning he was living in Providence.
The search of his Providence apartment turned up a stolen Glock pistol, crack cocaine and prescription pills that Torres had not been issued.
Police say Puerto Rico police issued a nationwide felony warrant for Torres on Aug. 6, 2014, for homicide.
After his arrest in Providence last summer, authorities extradited him to Puerto Rico. It is not clear how or why he was released from custody there, Philbin said.
Torres is considered armed and dangerous. He was wearing a dark T-shirt, work boots and shorts when last seen, authorities said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should not approach him and should call 911 or the state police Lincoln barracks at (401) 444-1100.
"He is a really bad guy," Philbin said.

Thoughts? I can't find much about the murders Reyes allegedly committed but I am adding this as a breaking news case because of the seriousness of an alleged triple murder possibly being in the continental United States.
