(Above photo credits: mlive.com) --- On Sept. 19, Sharon Elliott, 37, dropped her fourth-grade son with Barnell Amos, 41, whom Devin Elliott’s mother called her son’s “special uncle.” A 29-year-old woman police have not named also was at the home. Sometime after 4 a.m., investigators believe, intruders entered the home and shot all three occupants. Investigators said they believe Devin Elliott was shot in his sleep and he died about 4:40 a.m. Based on crime location, our advice for anyone with information regarding the murders of Devon Elliott and Barnell Amos would be to contact the Saginaw Police Department at 989-759-1218.

Any unsolved murder is tragic, especially when the victims include a child under the age of 18. When you shoot someone in their sleep, that is simply put an execution. I would not be surprised if one of these killers are in prison currently for an unrelated violent crime but if they are still roaming the streets then it's even more important to identify and arrest him. Another tragic part about this double homicide, in 1990, Joyce Crandall was shot and killed while living in the exact same house. Thankfully the killer in Joyce's case was arrested and convicted. www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2009/11/saginaws_house_of_horror.htmlwww.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2015/10/saginaw_unsolved_homicides.html#10

Devin's murder was especially unnecessary it seems since he was sleeping. He was a fourth grade kid. They couldn't have just tied him up or restrained him but had to murder him as well? Of course, there's no excuse for murdering anybody. Hopefully this case gets solved but if anyone has knowledge and is keeping it a secret they will have to speak up.
