Eric Rosenstrom is wanted for murder out of Texas. He was aired five times between 2006 and 2008 and was Walsh's 3rd Most Wanted fugitive of 2006. He is the 3rd out of 7 amw fugitives on the USMS site I'm featuring at this point.
Rosenstrom's problems started when his employer at the Wise County, Texas Sheriff's Department determined that his resume was full of lies and was fired from his position. After that he moved to Rockport, Texas where he got a job at a hotel and claimed to be a true-crime writer. Rosenstrom and his new boss, Erik Lower soon got into disputes; Rosenstrom claimed Lower owed him money for overtime and Lower claimed that Rosenstrom was stealing from the business. On Aug 16, 2001, three months after Lower fired Rosenstrom, Rosenstrom shot his former boss to death. He then fled to Corpus Christi and went off the radar.
Thoughts? Judging by his knowledge of true-crime stories, it isn't that surprising that he's managed to remain on the run this long. Since he was born in Texas he may have not have even left the Lone Star State.
