TEXAS FUGITIVE NEWS -- Victor Hugo Tarin has eluded arrest for his involvement in the murder of Jose Luis Castillo Jr., on April 1, 2006, in Baytown, Texas. Tarin and his accomplice, Calvin Paul Carmona, were both charged several weeks after Castillo's death with his murder. Carmona was eventually arrested and chose to plead guilty to the crime. Carmona received a sentence of 25 years' imprisonment for his part in the murder. However, Tarin continues to remain a most wanted fugitive at large.
Additionally, it is believed that Castillo, the 33-year-old father of two children, was shot in the head and then beaten by his killers. On the night of the murder, Baytown police responded to 911 reports of a gunshot on Pine St at about 3:00 a.m. Officers found Castillo lying on the ground wounded and unconscious. Castillo was then transported to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, where he later died.

Thoughts? It's not available online as to why exactly Jose Luis Castillo was killed, but he was a father of two children who was both shot and beaten to death. Calvin Carmona is in prison now for the murder so it's going to be hard for Victor Tarin to prove in a court of law that he's not responsible, however he is still presumed innocent until proven guilty in that court. 10 years after Jose's murder, Victor could be in Latin America but it's possible that he returned to Texas at some point.
