Just wanted to reference something that some posters may find interesting. According to Newspapers.com, it appears that John Gentry's first airing was on October 5, 1990. It should be noted that the episode also had the first profile of infamous early 90s direct capture Florencia Gooding.

Just saw his AMW segment. Am i the only one that feels he may have gotten gender reassignment surgery shortly after the murders were committed and may now classify as a female over a male? He certainly seems like the type of person who would do that to hide his identity since he liked to dress in woman clothing and enjoyed living in in a pro lgbtq community he just strikes me as the kind of guy who would’ve fled to San Francisco even though the AMW segment said he might have fled to Los Angeles and according to everyone else on here he sent a postcard from San Diego. Also i mean this in no disrespect but given the fact that the aids epidemic at the time was supposedly wide spread among the LGBTQ community i wonder if it’s possible he may have eventually slept with someone who had HIV or AIDS and he may have gotten it and died of it in the 80s, 90s or early 2000s but that’s just a theory given his lifestyle at the time.

Your theories are all possible imo. I feel like there is information he might be alive still though based on the relatively decent publicity the past few years.

I believe He died of AIDS while on the run., He is likely to be identify soon. |

I hope they figure out what happened to him soon if he's still alive throw him in a cell. If he's dead at least he's not on the run anymore and is in he'll where he belongs
