I actually found a really good article on countries and extradition and it actually hit me since they point out that almost not all governments play ball especially the ones we have a treaty with. Other information that I found out:
* Most people sent back in 2012 were from Mexico, Canada, Colombia.
* Spain and the Middle Eastern Nation of Yemen have been known to return fugitives without an extradition treaty.
* Cuba has an extradition, but they refused to play ball especially now again.
* Brunei is a wealthy country yet it’s authoritarian as can be
* Russia and China won’t extradite anyone (although China has already sent someone back in 2017)
* The Gulf States (Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman & the UAE) are also very wealthy, and there is no extradition treaty, BUT they aren’t down with harboring criminals.
* Other parts of the Middle East, like Jordan and Lebanon, have no extradition treaties.
* They talk more in depth about China and how it’s rarely a destination for fugitives.
* Mongolia, Cambodia and Vietnam have no extradition treaty, but are growing economies (also Vietnam has sent back a former Top Tenner in 1995 or 1996)
* If your into beach destinations; Vanuatu, Maldives and Tunisia are countries without an extradition treaty along with Indonesia, which is somewhat cheaper especially in the capital, Jakarta.
* In Africa, Botswana and Ethiopia are 5 star economies without an extradition treaty.
But anyways I recommend everyone to check out this article. And I want to hear what some of you guys think.
