AMW has announced on their Facebook John Walsh Investigates will air this Wednesday at 9 PM on Lifetime. Sadly, this seems like a one hour special as opposed to a series but at least Walsh will be back on Lifetime for this!

Also as I stated earlier I won't be home wednesday night and can't watch until later in the week so if anyone wants to post a review and/or spoilers feel free to.

I will be tuning in, surprisingly though I haven't seen a single advertisement or news post about this. They don't seem to be doing a good job of bringing attention to the show...

My personal feeling is Lifetime purposely didn't promote too much because they know fans will bombard them with bring back AMW posts.

Finally saw it. While the show was new and has some kinks that could be worked out- it definitely has potential and was basically like a "48 Hours on speed." In other words, the same types of stories, but it feels more intense. The Skelton case was actually interesting. The mother admitted to being a registered sex offender due to inappropriate sexual contact with a teenager in 1998. However, she was up front and honest about it. John Skelton's lawyer tried to use that against her in their divorce hearing. Walsh got both sides of the story from both families. He tried to interview John Skelton and even gave him his personal cell phone number!, but Skelton never called him. Larry Weeks, the Morenci Police Chief, believes the Skelton children were unfortunately killed based on the internet searches done by John Skelton (such as how to poison). Hopefully, even if it's a sad ending, the show will shed some light on what happened to them.
JWI does not mean AMW should not be back as well. But it is a good show and I hope Lifetime sticks with it and AMW can finally find a home on a new network.

Even if AMW is truly behind him, I'm glad that John Walsh still recognizes the importance the show, stressing that it should remain on television.

According to tvbythenumbers ratings for Wednesday June 19th, JWI's debut ratings appear to be unfortunately low. It says if the show isn't listed, it means it didn't rank in the top 100. JWI isn't listed. Meaning they must have had a less than 0.3 based on the lowest ranked show, an NCIS rerun on USA. This is disappointing, but not entirely surprising considering Lifetime did barely any promotion and many people found out about this two days in advance. As someone who tries to look for the positive in everything, one thing to consider is AMW did HORRIBLE the first few weeks on Lifetime before it built and audience and increased their Friday night ratings by 50%. So if Lifetime takes a chance, perhaps JWI can have the same luck. And hey maybe this is a message from the fans. We liked AMW. We don't want a replacement for it. But like I said in the previous post, I'd like to see John hosting both AMW and this eventually. Just because we want AMW back, doesn't mean we should make JWI a failure. It's a promising show that deserves a shot as well. tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/06/20/wednesday-cable-ratings-futurama-royal-pains-win-night-necessary-roughness-daily-show-south-beach-tow-more/188185/
