In 1995, Maria Gibson was for the most of her time, living at her Gilbert, Arizona home due to being diagnosed a schizophrenic. On Feb 18, 1995, someone entered her home, tried to sexually assault her and then murdered Maria. In the weeks leading up to her murder, four women were sexually assaulted in the local area by an unidentified white male. Investigators think Maria might have known her killer based on the condition of her home.

Thoughts? There's a good chance that the serial rapist active in the Gilbert, Arizona also was responsible for Maria's murder, but that cannot be proven at the time. Investigators think that the killer no longer lives in the Gilbert area so he could be anywhere now, still raping women in a different region.
