Jesus Canales is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Santa Ana, authorities said.
Canales, a suspected gang member, and another man are believed to have approached a group of people in the 300 block of East Washington Avenue on July 22, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department.
According to police, the two men asked people at the home about their gang affiliation.
Alberto David Miller, 16, was shot multiple times. He was taken to Western Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Juan Galvin, 20, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, but Canales remains at large.

Thoughts? Obviously a lot of us who were America's Most Wanted fans likely did a double take as the suspect here has the same name as infamous AMW fugitive Jesus "Chuy" Canales. But of course, there have been plenty of occasions where more than one AMW fugitive had the same first and last name, and this Jesus Canales that's still at large should be considered just as dangerous as the one that was captured. As a matter of fact, going by Canales' date of birth when I confirmed his warrant in the Orange County search system, he was only 18 when he allegedly shot and killed Alberto Miller.
