A few minutes into Jan 22, 2006, authorities in Toppenish, Washington say that Roberto Saavedra was at a local bar when he got into an argument with Jose Fragoso Zavala. Roberto had lost his cell phone and believed that Jose had it. After arguing about it, Roberto shot Jose in the face, killing him. A few hours later, someone returned to cell phone to Jose's girlfriend. Roberto did not show up for his job at a farming company and went on the run.

Thoughts? I wish we could stick a huge banner in bars saying that you are not permitted to turn a simple argument into trying to kill people after every single bar murder we have seen on this forum. As an adult, you should have the maturity to realize that killing people is illegal and there are other ways to resolve an argument or dispute than taking someone else's life.
As for Roberto's whereabouts, they located his girlfriend who he was with for around 13 years, however nothing I read said if he spent all of those years with her in the United States. After 10 years on the run, he is likely in Latin America but he could occasionally return to the US to work in farming.
