Frank Gove had spent his life in the baseball industry, serving as the president of a youth baseball league in the 1960s and then starting his own baseball memorabilia store in San Luis Obispo, California. On March 7, 1990, an unidentified assailant entered Frank's store and bludgeoned the elderly man to death. The killer then stole numerous pieces of merchandise including baseball and football cards, and hartland statues. The sketch shown above is of a man who was seen outside of the store the day of the murder, he was never identified. --- Thoughts? Frank Gove's unsolved murder was featured four times on AMW in the early 1990s, and on Final Justice as well. The most recent article I found regarding this case was from 2010 and from the content, it doesn't sound like investigators are any closer to solving the murder. As for the memorabilia, none of it was ever recovered and one theory is that it was sold for drug money. This murder needs to finally be solved, and further lessen the amount of AMW cold cases that need to be resolved. Based on crime location, our advice for anyone information regarding the murder of Frank Gove would be contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department (California) at 805-781-7317.

I was thinking this case sounded familiar and then I realized this was in the tv and not exclusive section. It's sad, even 26 years later, just a year short of when John Walsh had final closure, the Gove family deserves final justice as well.

I used to frequent this card shop back when I was going to college in San Luis Obispo and remember Frank as a warm and fun guy. I can't believe this case hasn't been solved.
Anyone know where I can view the America's Most Wanted episodes on this case?
