In 1972, authorities in Iowa say that Harry Reese and three accomplices, robbed and shot US Marshal Dick McKinney to death. The first trial for Aaron Doolin, Joseph Lee Love, and Bruce Stark ended in a mistrial, but a second trial in 1973 sentenced Doolin to ten years while Love and Stark got six years. They have all long since served their sentences but a 2013 article states that Harry Reese was never arrested and tried for Dick McKinney's murder.

Thoughts? I am quite surprised of the lack of attention Harry Reese got compared to the majority of other cold case fugitives since his victim was an United States Marshal. He wouldn't have even reached 70-years of age if he is still alive so I don't see why he has been such a difficult fugitive to locate. It's the most likely in my opinion that he fled back to the Deep South region of the US which is where he was born. If Harry Reese is still alive then he finally needs to be arrested and face a court of law for the robbery and murder of Dick McKinney.
Based on wanted location, our advice for anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Harry Reese would be to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department (Iowa) at 319-286-5378.
