Authorities in Temple, Texas say that on Apr 13, 2016, 20-year old Justin Lane Slatton and 17-year old Lupe Martinez Chappa shot and killed Johnathan Hess and Vicente Hernandez. A witness identified both young men to a sketch artist and after picking them through a photo lineup. Lupe was quickly arrested in San Angelo, Texas and Justin was last known to be there as well, but he's still on the run.
Justin already has a long criminal history including the escape from a juvenile detention center in 2013 as well as arrests for theft and burglary. He is in fact wanted out of Tom Green County, Texas on a burglary warrant as well. Justin is a member of the Latin Kings gang. The Texas Department Of Public Safety has added him to their 10 Most Wanted Violent Offenders list and are as of this post, offering a $7500 reward for information leading to his arrest.
If you have information regarding the whereabouts of Justin Lane Slatton, then contact Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-TIPS.

Thoughts? These cases of young people in the 15-24 age bracket who start their adulthood with extensive criminal activity really does anger me. There are so many opportunities in this world, but apparently no one really mentored Justin Lane Slatton to put him on the right path or he even felt that running with gangs was how he wanted to spend his life. All he's managed to prove is that he is an extremely dangerous fugitive who really only cares about getting into trouble. I fear that if he remains on the run this won't be the last incident of crime he gets himself involved in.
