If you look at it, he’s being sentenced to 25 years and since he was in the country illegally, he’s likely going to be deported following his sentence and will be 60 years old by the time all is said and done.

I think what it means is that Yovany-Gomez didn't go out of his way to commit that murder on his own accord. He only did it because he and several other MS-13 gang bangers agreed to it. But it was still very brutal and it's good he didn't exactly get off easy. |

I think this would potentially have been a tricky case had it gone to trial so the 25 years guilty plea made sense as a compromise even if Gomez deserved more time. Hopefully we won't be our problem anymore after his sentence.
