In 1982, 18-year old Michael Botsay was heavily addicted to drugs and had spent several months in a rehab facility. On Oct 24, 1982, Michael spent the evening at bars in New Orleans. He got into a drug deal with two white men whose sketches are shown above, they accused Michael of ripping them off. Later that night, Michael drove to nearby St. Charles Parish where someone shot him to death. His body was discovered a month later, the murder scene not indicating that a struggle had taken place.
Investigators are not 100% certain that two men Michael was seen arguing with were involved in his murder, but they have never been identified. 20 years later, two teenage girls who knew Michael claimed they had driven in his car the night of the murder with one of the men depicted in the sketches. However because the girls were heavy drug users at the time, authorities are not certain as well if their story is 100% accurate.

Thoughts? You can tell from the case profile why even 34 years later this murder has been so difficult to solve. To start with, even if they weren't involved in Michael's murder, we need to identify the two men he was arguing with that night. If they're still alive they may have useful information to help detectives solve the murder. The problem is that the surviving witnesses were drug users in 1982, so their reliability in regards to their testimony in a court of law may not be the greatest.
