From Tacoma/Pierce County Crime Stoppers website:
Tacoma Police detectives need your help to locate two suspects responsible for a homicide. Just after midnight on the early morning of Wednesday May 12th, 2010, a 26-year-old man was shot and killed, and the victim’s friend was shot and paralyzed inside of the victim’s residence located in the 3300 block of N. Before I get to asking for thoughts- a few additional notes first-
-Toloeafoa who was later captured in Mexico (and was only 15 years-old at the time of the homicide), was convicted and sentenced to 32 years and 9 months in prison: www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/crime/article25871965.html
-This was believe to be a targeted hit after Zuniga, according to detectives, fell out of favor with his subordinates. One of the man believe Moises Angel Larreinaga, then 22 years-old at the time, ordered the hit from prison: www.theolympian.com/news/local/article25272919.html
-Ortiz is said to be 18 at the time of Zuniga's murder, so he would actually be somewhere around 25 years today.
OK, thoughts? I realize gang murders don't usually involve the most innocent of victims (not excusing Zuniga's murder of course). However the problem with these types of killings is innocent bystanders so many times get hurt in the crossfire, so it's imperative to catch guys like Ortiz to make sure the streets are safe.
Admin Note #1: Since Ortiz was profiled on the Tacoma-Pierce Crime Stoppers website, our advice for anyone with information on his whereabouts would be to contact them. Information on how to call, text and/or submit a web tip to them can be found at the following link: www.tpcrimestoppers.com
