New Orleans police are searching for a 15-year-old they suspect of fatally shooting another teenager last month at an eastern New Orleans apartment complex.
Miqueghele Brown is wanted in connection with the July 16 shooting, which took the life of 17-year-old Ortez Williams Jr. NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune generally does not name juveniles except in cases of the most serious crimes. A provision in Louisiana state law allows law enforcement to name juvenile suspects "to assist in finding and taking into custody a child wanted for a felony-grade delinquent act ..."
Authorities found Williams' body around 7:25 p.m. July 16, on the sidewalk outside the Plaza Park apartment complex in the 6700 block of Tara Lane. He had been shot multiple times, police said, and pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Two months earlier, a quadruple shooting in the parking lot of the Plaza Park Apartments killed 16-year-old Terrance Williams and 26-year-old Darnell Cheneau. The investigation into that shooting remains open.
Anyone with information about Brown's whereabouts should contact NOPD Homicide Detective Drew Deacon at 504-658-5300, or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

Thoughts? I'm not the biggest fan of profiling juvenile suspects either, but when it's been over a year and the suspect still isn't caught yet, that's a big concern for me so I decided to post his case in the hopes anyone knowing Brown's whereabouts call the NOPD. At least as of March 2016, Brown was still wanted and now 16-years old. But please feel free to update this website if you have any updates from since then and/or after this posting:
