William Blackledge, a fugitive with an Interpol Red Notice has been wanted for decades on drug trafficking charges.
Starting in 1982, William took part in flights from Colombia to Florida carrying large amounts of cocaine, trafficked by an organization ran by Angel Sanchez. In 1987, Angel and William forced an alliance with a Canadian drug trafficking organization called the West End gang. The combined organization then started to traffic cocaine to Europe where police in Spain started to conduct surveillance of the operation. This group was also connected to the 1985 shooting and wounding of a Florida State Trooper and the murders of Dooney Ryan, the former West End Gang leader as well as his associate, Paul April who was killed in a bombing.
In 1990, indictments were issued against members of the organization, but William Blackledge became a fugitive and has been wanted ever since.

Thoughts? Much of the information about this case was made available by a 1994 court appeals document about one of the gang members who were convicted. William was never charged with any of the murders or shootings, but is wanted by Interpol on drug trafficking and criminal enterprise charges. Another news report I read showed that many of William's family members are in prison on similar charges. Like many drug traffickers of that era, he probably fled to Central or South America and has been living the good life with all the illicit money he made from drug trafficking. Even though he would be 80-years old now, he still needs to be put in a jail cell if he's still alive.
