Above photo credit: Unsolved Wikia From the FBI's website: The Richmond Division of the FBI and the National Park Service are requesting information from the public that would assist law enforcement with identifying and convicting the person(s) responsible for the double homicides of Laura Winans and Julianne Williams. On Saturday, June 1, 1996, the bodies of both women were found at their campsite near Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The women had been hiking with a golden retriever named "Taj" and were last seen on May 24, 1996. The dog was located and turned over to rangers near Whiteoak Canyon Trail. If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. www.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/laura-winans/viewwww.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/julianne-williams/viewThoughts? I am placing this case in the Unsolved on TV section since according to Unsolved Wikia it was profiled on the Court TV (now TruTV) show "Haunting Evidence." According to it, a suspect named Darrell Rice was arrested and charged but later released due to lack of evidence. A suspected serial killer, Richard Evonitz, who AMW nearly profiled before his suicide, is also considered a suspect. Below is the links to the Unsolved wikia page and our thread with more info on Evonitz: unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Julianne_Marie_Williams_and_Laura_Winansamwfans.com/thread/3187/richard-evonitz-investigation-national-1990sAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form
