Date of Birth: March 16, 1994
Age at Time of Disappearance: 2 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 2'11" (90 cm); 33 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Gray - blue eyes; blond hair; fair complexion. He speaks Dutch.
Marks, Scars: Slight burn mark on left elbow
Clothing: Green jeans, grey pullover with colored sleeves and Jungle King written on the front and ecru shoes with Tom & Jerry inscribed on it.
Other: Blood group: A+
Circumstances of Disappearance
Branden disappeared on May 3, 1996 from the house of his grandmother along the Zennegat in Mechelen.

According to the article, Liam simply wandered out the house never to be seen again. This gives some hope that perhaps he may still be alive. Unfortunately, it would have to be a kidnapper. If some random kid wandered into my house, I'm calling the cops to try to figure out who he is and send him back to the parents.

Oh yes definitely he may still be alive and it's very interesting how they are using currency to bring attention to his case and other missing persons in general by the #coinsofhope as they have been called.

He's been missing for 20 years and is one of Belgium's oldest cases and of course they picked Liam for the face on the coin since he's the youngest missing person.

This case took a turn in which authorities here in the states really haven't attempted and it's a great tactic. As to what may have happened to him, he likely wandered off and was taken by kidnappers and may still be alive which seems to be more likely.

Also this tactic gives good ideas for other hard to solve cases.
