From wjla.com:
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (ABC7) — Identified as a "dangerous fugitive," police are asking for the public's help in finding 63-year-old Estanislao Alfaro.
The U.S. Marshals and Commonwealth of Virginia say Alfaro is wanted for attempted rape of a child under the age of 13, and animate object sexual penetration.
Police say the incident took place inside the victim's home located in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Ave. in Alexandria, Va.
Police say on Dec. 11, 2013 around 4 a.m., a young girl went to use the restroom inside her apartment home.
Once she exited, police say Alfaro pulled the girl to the ground, took off her shorts, inserted his finger into her vagina, and got on top of her.
The girl began making noise, slamming her hands onto the ground to wake her father, according to police.
Once the father awoke, police say Alfaro ran out of the apartment building heading toward the intersection of Russell Rd. and Executive Dr.
Police say Alfaro was a friend of the young girl's father, and was staying in the living room of their apartment home.
Police say they have made apprehending Alfaro a priority.
They believe he is still in the Alexandria, Arlington area, though they say he allegedly has personal ties to Texas.
Police identify Alfaro as a Hispanic male from El Salvador. They say he stands at 5'4" and weighs about 170 pounds.
They say he has short grey hair, brown eyes and a small scar under his right eye, as well as a scar on his left hand.
Anyone with information on Alfaro that will directly lead to his arrest may be eligible for a cash reward, police say.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or email: usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.
Thoughts? Obviously to say it's a sick case would be an understatement. Wonder why it took three years to publicize it but glad it is now being publicized.
UPDATE: I have found no online articles about this case since 2016. As far as I can tell, Alfaro is still at large as of this update (7/27/2018), since I haven't found anything online suggesting otherwise. However, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
