Felony Warrant Suspect is wanted for the homicide of Jose Ruiz during a fight at his residence on Almond Ave W. Linda in July 1990. -- Thoughts? Extra case I wanted to post today outside of my 50States/50Cases campaign. If any readers have additional information then that would really be appreciated, such as possible whereabouts for Leonardo and why he and Jose got into the fight in the first place. According to the Yuba County Sheriff's Department website, Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Leonardo Ochoa should contact them at (530) 749-7777.

It's hard for me to give thoughts when there's so little information. So just for future reference, if I don't respond to threads like this with one sentence descriptions from 25 years ago, don't take it personally, it's just I have nothing to add. And anyway for this case I have nothing to add but hopefully one of our readers will give us more insight.  |

As of April 23rd, 2018, Ochoa is still listed as one of Yuba County's most wanted fugitives (same link as in HeadMarshal's OP, 2012 time stamp, which doesn't give me the utmost confidence, but since I see no other updates stating otherwise, I feel it is enough to reasonably assume he is still at large as of 4/23/2018).

As of today June 17, 2020, the 1990 case against Leonardo Ochoa is still showing as active in the Yuba County Court Records database with the warrant being reissued again in December 2019.
