From the Gaston Gazette (gastongazette.com) website:
A man wanted on federal charges related to an Alamance County human trafficking case has been named one of the U.S. Marshals Service’s fugitives of the week.
Carl Wayne Blackmon Jr., 31, was indicted on federal charges of forced labor and human trafficking in September after allegedly harboring 15- and 16-year-old victims for sex trafficking in Burlington and surrounding areas.
According to federal court documents filed at the time, Blackmon and Ricky Bradley Cooke, who was also indicted, forced the two teenage girls to have sex with men as part of a prostitution business and threatened to harm the victims and their families if they didn’t cooperate with demands.
A criminal complaint stated that one of the victims reported she had to give Blackmon and Cooke “all the money she received for acts of prostitution” and was also driven to Greensboro, Fayetteville, Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, S.C., to have sex with men.
The date of offenses involving at least one of the victims were listed as June 9 to July 12.
Though Cooke was arrested the same week he was indicted, authorities are still searching for Blackmon.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force has been requested to assist in locating Blackmon, whom Marshals describe as “armed and dangerous” with “violent tendencies.”
Blackmon is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
According to federal court documents, he also went by the nicknames “CJ” and “Carl Jay.”
Blackmon’s criminal history includes state-level charges of drug trafficking and possession, breaking and entering, larceny, speeding to elude arrest, and habitual felon, among other offenses.
After being released from prison as a habitual felon in February 2015, Blackmon was placed on supervised release and absconded his post-release supervision in June. He hasn’t been located since.
The Marshals ask that anyone who knows of Blackmon’s whereabouts or has seen someone who resembles him to contact the U.S. Marshals Service Greensboro office at 336-332-8700, Joint Fugitive Task Force supervisor Michael Potter at 336-554-8580.

Thoughts? A somewhat unimportant technical note but even though Blackmon Jr. and Cooke took the girls back and forth between the Carolinas, I believe Alamance County, NC is where the charges were filed or at least where Blackmon Jr. escaped from hence the reason in the thread title. I've seen no news of a capture since that article a month ago so I'm assuming Blackmon is unfortunately still at large.
