VITAL STATISTICS BOREN, GREG ALLEN DATE OF BIRTH: 1992/05/18 GENDER: MALE HEIGHT: 511 WEIGHT: 145 HAIR: BROWN EYES: BLUE -- In 2013, three men were at a park next to a high school in Greeley, Colorado when a vehicle with five other men drove up to the park. The five men then attacked the two victims, identified as Chris Mendoza and Marco Rivera, both surviving their injuries. The attack was the result of a previous dispute at a local bar. One of the attackers was arrested and authorities are also seeking Greg Allen Boren in connection with the attack. -- Thoughts? More violent attacks as a result of disputes at bars. Can't people enjoy a good time with responsible social drinking at a bar anymore without getting into an argument? Greg doesn't seem like a difficult fugitive to locate and arrest so if he's fled the local Greeley area, perhaps all that's needed is national media attention. Based on archived law enforcement websites, our advice for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Greg Allen Boren would be to contact the Weld County Sheriff Fugitive Tipline at 970-304-6565 or 800-436-9276 ex.2859Moderator Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-formwww.mywindsornow.com/news/9013650-113/police-county-hospital-wantedwww.weldsheriff.com/apps/mostwanted/

I actually had this guy in my potential case files but never felt I had enough information to make a full thread. Glad you did. I think what makes this guy difficult to catch, so far at least, is nothing about him seems to stand out. He has a bit of a weird face on his mugshot but no different than any other average person his race, height, etc... Based on the crime he was accused of though, he could always wind up being caught as a result of his own behavior though.

Just to be clear, the main charges are 2 counts of attempted first degree murder, right?

Just to be clear, the main charges are 2 counts of attempted first degree murder, right? Correct, thanks for noting that. I will update in the opening post that the two victims survived.

I no longer see an active Wanted list on the Weld County Sheriff's Office website so Boren's profile is no longer on there (this goes for anyone on our site from that list but Boren is the only one I can recall off-hand.) I guess we can assume he's still wanted though since I haven't read any articles stating otherwise.

Boren was arrested in Ojai Valley, California last week after a traffic stop. What's cool is the press release mentioned he had previously been featured on our site! Thanks to the forum reader who let us know! local.nixle.com/alert/6368323/?sub_id=587909

Just a quick correction to the media reports that although we appreciate the shout out, our site featured Boren in 2016, not 2013. The year in the title of a fugitive posting usually reflects either the warrant year or alleged date of offense. (In this case I think it's both).
Also of course credit goes to Deputy Kathryn Torres for arresting Boren in the first place. Great work by her and the Ventura County Sheriff's Office!
