Child sex crime cases are always going to be tragic, but Cruz Silva's victim had to be victimized right on her own birthday which should have been one of the happiest days in 2006 for her! Nearing 72-years old, Cruz needs to be caught and serve the rest of his life in a jail cell before he dies of old age.

Cruz Naranjo Silva has been removed from the crimes against children section as I don't see him on there anymore. This removal likely happened today or sometime in the last 3-4 weeks because, he was still on in early January.

Thanks for the update, no indications he was captures, so I guess they just wanted to make room for newer cases as he's been on the run for over a decade.

No problem, either that's the case or he was getting too old, that they might think he's deceased, but Twitter hasn't said anything yet on Cruz Naranjo Silva.

I was WAITING for the day we'd find out he was captured! I hated this case more than so many other child molestation cases because cops suspected him of striking on the victim's birthday! In the likely event he did it, I hope his fellow inmates don't let him enjoy his own birthdays from now on!

I don't mean to poo-poo a good moment and that you are right to be excited for his capture but once again I literally just made like 7 zillion comments in the past few weeks including yesterday about how we need to cut down on comparing cases or how one is worse than the other. You can simply be happy for his capture and state you hated him because of the birthday aspect without adding that you feel it was worse than others where there were still victims. Besides that, I agree with your last sentence.  |
