(Above photo credit: NY Daily News via Plymouth District Attorney) From New York Daily News website: A Massachusetts man with a history of mental illness fatally stabbed his 76-year-old college professor neighbor more than 30 times, authorities said Saturday. Tyler Hagmaier, 24, is wanted for the horrific Thursday evening murder of Vibeke Rasmussen, a Quincy College professor, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said. Cops were called to Rasmussen’s apartment on Friday around 1 p.m. to check on her. Around 10 p.m. Friday, cops found the silver Prius belonging to Hagmaier, who lives across the street from the slain educator, at French King Bridge, CBS Boston reported. Area residents heard a splash in the Connecticut River, but investigators have not recovered a body. Authorities warned that Hagmaier, who has a history of mental illness, should be considered armed and dangerous if spotted. Anyone with information is asked to call Plymouth police at (508) 830-4218.www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/man-fatally-knifed-college-prof-neighbor-76-30-times-article-1.2628701Thoughts? This is obviously a horrific case. I realize residents thought they heard a splash in the river but it's important not to assume anything unless a body is found. This is a very violent alleged suspect with a history of mental illness. A body has been pulled from the Connecticut River that may be Tyler Hagmaier. However, police are also investigating if the body belongs to a different person who may have jumped from the bridge last week.
The medical examiner's office will determine the identity.

And of course I forgot the link, this is like the five zillionth time I've done that. The clothes appear to match Hagmaier but nothing official. Not a surprise if it's him. As I said, it seemed he jumped in the river, but for safety sake it was best to not assume anything until a body was found. Hopefully this is his body. www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2016/05/body_pulled_from_connecticut_r.html
