(Above photo credit: nortonma.org Police Department section) Alias: Peter Dabbs Last Known Address: Hampstead Road, Derry, New Hampshire Black Male, 5'10"- 6'0" tall, 180 Lbs., Brown Hair, Brown Eyes Date of Birth : December 10, 1942 DABBS has a mole on the RIGHT side of nose. -- On Oct 10, 1981, Andrew Dabbs and his girlfriend Robin Shea were driving from New Hampshire through Norton, Massachusetts. Detectives say that Andrew shot Robin and dumped her body from the vehicle that they were driving in. They also say that Robin's murder may have been drug related in some way. Later in the early 1980s, Dabbs was almost arrested at a relative's home in Mount Vernon, New York but he escaped. -- Thoughts? A 2000 news report on this case said that Dabbs has ties to Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida and Boston. In 2000, this case was featured on a local version of AMW called New England's Most Wanted. I wonder if this case was ever presented to AMW as Dabbs doesn't sound like that difficult of a fugitive to locate. He would be 73-years old today so there's a good chance that he's still alive and if so, needs to face Final Justice for the murder of Robin Shea. Based on online most wanted listing, our advice for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Andrew Dabbs is to contact the Norton Police Department at 508-285-3338 ex. 3339 for the detectives division.

Wow, this isn't even an archived page so odds are good this guy's still wanted. Anyone's guess is as good as mine as to where he's been all these years.

Andrew Dabbs is now on the FBI's featured fugitives page! At least he's not a non-violent wanted drug trafficker. In all seriousness, the poster mentions he may have been infected by HIV so it's possible that he may have died from that condition while on the run. Hopefully his whereabouts can be determined, either dead or alive by this new FBI publicity. www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/andrew-p-dabbs

This is the first Murder Fugitive Added to the site and they chose someone very fitting, a cold case.

I have to say this case came very unannounced similar to Robert Van Wisse in the fall of 2016 though I don’t think he’d make the FBI Top Ten since he’s 75 years old, but then again there is the potential for him to get caught or located.

I HIGHLY doubt he is alive. If he was infected by HIV in 1981, he's as good as dead now. Chemokine HIV-inhibitor drugs did not come online until the mid-90s, and in 1981, the longest someone could have survived with HIV was 2-3 years, tops. It sounds like he was a heavy-duty drug user, which probably led to him contracting the virus. Odds are, he's in a John Doe grave somewhere.

On paper I'd agree, but for some odd reason the FBI added him to their site basically out of nowhere, so imo they must have some reason, like they developed information on him being alive or dead, unless it's just they simply just wanted to get closure for Robin Shea.

The fact that there isn’t an age progressed image of Dabbs on his FBI poster leads me to think it’ll be very easy to get him if they developed any new information dead or alive.

I’m wondering if Andrew Dabbs has living family members currently, like his siblings or other family members. The reason I bring this up is because what if Dabbs stayed in contact with them while on the run? Perhaps his family knows what maybe have happened to Andrew.
I had a discussion with my younger brother, though he’s not much of a sleuth, but he’s into the medical field and he theorized that Dabbs, depending on when he became infected with HIV is important. If he had gotten infected in 1981, he would have lived at the latest till the mid to late 80s, however if he became infected before 1981, he probably would died a year or 2 after the murder, he points out that the key word is “MAY have been infected” which is a bit of hope, but what could have gotten to Dabbs is his drug use, depending on what those drugs were. Compared to Brad Bishop, my brother believes Bishop is still living in poor health or a deteriorating mental state while Dabbs could likely be deceased by now.
Honestly I have so much more theories about this case that this thread is going to start heating up. 😊

As of July 16th, 2018, Dabbs is still listed on the FBI's website as a wanted fugitive. (Same link as in a previous reply).
P.S. I realize he was added recently but it's still site policy to update from time to time).

Has anyone noticed that this guy was removed from the FBI page? Did A LOT of research on this case and even drove to Derry, NH and talked to some of the lifelong towns people and strangely enough nobody had even heard of this case.. It was so sad

It was so sad I’ve noticed he was removed last month, I’ve been wanting to post, but I got busy.

No release from the FBI? Does this make the case files public now that the FBI has removed him? I would think that would also mean they are no longer overlooking the case

I would think that would also mean they are no longer overlooking the case I think the reason they removed him is that perhaps they didn’t get any new leads or tips on him since they added him to their overall website 2 years ago or so, and the biggest reason is for a man who allegedly had HIV in the early 1980s and the lack of a cure then, I wouldn’t be surprised if he succumbed to that not long after the crime and which explains why they added him and then removed him 2 years later.
