From the San Diego Union Tribune website:
San Diego — Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted in the 2006 homicide of an 18-year-old Grant Hill man.
Amir Ekmekcic, 28, who at the time lived in Lemon Grove and went by the nickname “Bosey” is suspected in the death of Luis Alejandro Sanchez, San Diego police said.
Investigators said Sanchez had just pulled into the driveway of the Island Avenue apartment complex where he lived with his parents when Ekmekcic walked up and confronted him, police said.
The two argued and Ekmekcic walked away, then returned with a gun and fatally shot the teen, police said. He was seen driving away in a green 2002 Nissan Sentra, police said at the time.
Ekmekcic is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He appears Latino and is known to associate with Latino gang members. He frequents Logan Heights and Lemon Grove, police said.
He got his nickname because his family immigrated from Bosnia, officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (619) 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.

Thoughts? Just a side note that Ekmekcic's full San Diego Police wanted poster can be viewed here: www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/legacy/police/pdf/coldcase/AmirEkmekcicBulletinEng.pdf
Also, keep in mind that even though Ekmekcic is of Bosnian descent, he is known to associate with Hispanic gang members. This makes Mexico in addition to his home country a possibility in my opinion.
