Ricardo Colindres, a 25-year-old transient, is at large after he reportedly showed up around 8:10 a.m. at a senior-housing complex in the 1000 block of Terra Nova Boulevard where his ex-girlfriend is employed, and shot her in the head, according to Pacifica police. The victim, a 25-year-old Pacifica resident, was rushed to the hospital, and gave birth to her child. Capt. Joe Spanheimer said the victim and newborn are in stable condition. Spanheimer confirmed that Colindres and the victim had once dated. He declined to say whether he is the father of her child. Colindres, described as a Latino man, 5-foot-5 and 125 pounds with brown hair and eyes, was last seen in a silver 2003 Toyota Camry with a California license plate 6CGN644. "We're actively trying to locate this person," Spanheimer said. Nearby schools were temporarily locked down while police searched the immediate area. www.mercurynews.com/san-mateo-county/ci_29820608/pacifica-3-schools-locked-down-because-criminal-activityThoughts? Unlike so many other of these cases posted about here where a man shoots a woman who is pregnant, we have a rare ending when no one died. Which is a miracle in itself- but it doesn't make Colindres any less dangerous, and he needs to be taken off the streets ASAP. What absolute stupidity was Ricardo thinking with being a transient and deciding to father a child. At least the mother did the right thing with being employed and helping to provide a future for their child and she's the one who nearly was killed!

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for joining. I'm so sorry for your terrible situation. And I wish this man wasn't still at large to worry about.
While our message board is limited in what we can do, (we're just a fan page for AMW, The Hunt, etc... and I decided to add the search for Ricardo as a breaking news exclusive because I realized the gravity of the situation) I will at least make a posting about Colindres on this site's social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) which should hopefully get him a few more views.
